Tatiana Echeverri Fernandez

Costa Rica, 1974
Visual Artist

Echeverri Fernandez’s sculptures, videos, performances and photograms are assemblages constructed through a complex process of layering and juxtapositioning. Obsolete objects and historical forms are reworked to suggest alternatives to their previous functions and ideological referents. In this way, Echeverri Fernandez’s works form a new structure, inter-webbed and history- less, altering their reading as well as the order, and possibilities, of the past, present and future.
